Brigit Carroll is Senior Director, State Government Affairs at the Financial Technology Association. Previous to joining FTA, she spent nearly 7 years at global payments company Wise, where she led the Americas government relations team and delivered tangible policy wins on key fintech priorities in the U.S., Canada and beyond. Brigit first joined Wise in Brussels in 2019, focused on EU public policy, where she co-founded a payments industry group, PayBelgium, and served on the board of the European Fintech Association. Prior to joining Wise, Brigit gained 5+ years’ experience in public affairs and advocacy in Brussels, at global communications firm FleishmanHillard and the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, the voice of American business in Europe. Brigit holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and French from the University of Minnesota. She speaks fluent French.
