FTA Welcomes Brigit Carroll as Senior Director of State Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Financial Technology Association (FTA) today welcomes Brigit Carroll, an experienced government relations executive and fintech policy leader, as Senior Director of State Government Affairs. Brigit will bolster FTA’s presence at the state level, representing the fintech industry and advocating for financial innovation before state legislatures, regulatory agencies, and other state forums.

“State leaders are playing an increasingly active role in fintech policy, and the decisions they make will shape how millions of Americans access financial services,” said Brigit Carroll, incoming Senior Director of State Government Affairs at the Financial Technology Association. “I am excited to join FTA and help grow the organization’s state government affairs program at such a consequential moment.”

“Bringing on an accomplished leader like Brigit reflects our commitment to expanding our role in fintech policy discussions occurring across the country,” said Sarah Mamula, Head of Government Affairs at the Financial Technology Association. “Her experience makes her exceptionally well-suited to lead our efforts as the volume of consequential policy activity at the state level continues to grow.

Before joining FTA, Carroll spent nearly seven years at global payments company Wise, where she led the Americas government relations team. Carroll began her career in public affairs in Brussels, where she worked at global communications firm FleishmanHillard and the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, and served on the board of the European Fintech Association. Carroll holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and French from the University of Minnesota.
