FTA Congratulates Brian Johnson on Nomination as CFPB Director

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Financial Technology Association (FTA) today congratulated Brian Johnson on his nomination by President Trump to serve as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

“Brian Johnson brings deep experience in consumer financial regulation to this role,” said Penny Lee, President & CEO of FTA. “As Deputy Director of the CFPB, he oversaw the agency’s rulemaking, supervision, and enforcement activities, and led the creation of the Office of Innovation, an initiative that opened new pathways for responsible product development in financial services. We look forward to engaging with Director-designate Johnson and his team on the issues that matter most to our members and the consumers they serve.”
